One warm room in Gaslight Village, run by one nurse who actually knows you. Here's the person and the philosophy behind it.
I'm Amy — a registered nurse, an injector, and the only person you'll see when you come to Defined. I earned my BSN and have spent my career in patient care; I opened Defined in 2023 because I wanted to do aesthetics a different way: honestly, unhurried, and genuinely personalized.
I'm also still a student. I'm currently pursuing my Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Michigan to become a Nurse Practitioner — which means I'm always learning the latest techniques and advancing my practice, right alongside you. That "still growing" energy is the whole point. I'd rather be the practice that's getting better every year than the one resting on a decade-old playbook.
In the room, that looks like consults that take the time they need, plans built around your goals and your face — not a menu I'm trying to upsell — and results that look natural and balanced. The work should look like you, on your best day.

Defined sits on Wealthy Street in the heart of East Grand Rapids' Gaslight Village — a walkable, neighborly corridor that feels nothing like a clinical office park. The space is intentionally small: white brick, warm wood, soft light, and a few gold-framed prints on the wall.
It's by appointment only, which is by design. When you come in, the room is yours — no waiting area full of strangers, no rushing you out for the next person. Just a quiet, considered visit, start to finish.
The motto isn't decoration. Integrity means honest consults, honest expectations, and never recommending something you don't need. Aesthetics means results that are natural and balanced — defined, not done. Every plan starts with a free consult, payment plans are available, and the answer to "should I do this?" is always the honest one.
Start with a free consult — no pressure, just a conversation about what you're thinking.
